This is a special hitting tool only for removing metal fittings.
We aimed for a product that does not deform the Removal Rod and that does not bottom out due to a too-thin base.

The majority of leather craft fittings are [made of metal].
Because of the strong pressure to adhere to the leather, they cannot be easily removed.
We also make ours to prevent them from coming off.

Sometimes, the metal fittings do not fasten properly or the wrong metal fittings are put on.
Until now, metal fittings have been removed using nippers, but it was impossible to remove them properly because of damage to the leather or material.
The solution to this problem is the [Fitting Removal Tool]!

Anvil
(1) Make it as small as possible to match the average outside diameter of the metal fittings.
(If the hole is too large, the leather will stretch when struck.)
(2) The depth should be 15 mm.
(If the hole is too thin, it will bottom out when struck, damaging the striking rod and workbench.)
(3) The anvil must be made of metal.
(Since the metal fittings are made of metal, the anvil must also be made of metal to ensure durability.)

Removal Rod
(1) Dimensions must be suitable for all Metal Fittings.
(2) Durable tool steel should be used.
(3) The entire surface should be quenched to increase the hardness of the metal and further improve durability.
(4) The overall length should be a length that is easy to work with.
(5) The handle should have a non-slip surface.
(6) The tip should be protected by resin before shipping.
These are the items we introduced to our products after testing various prototypes.

The features are as follows
[Anvil]
1. Four sizes are available: 15.5mm/ 13mm/ 9.8mm/ 7.5mm. Each size is individually stamped. Please use them according to your metal fittings.

2. Made with the average value of the outside diameter of the metal fittings. Since the hole is not too large, we have minimized the stretching and deformation of the leather that occurs when striking.

3. The thickness is 15mm for ease of workability, so the striking bar does not bottom out when struck. This eliminates deformation of the striking bar and damage to the workbench caused by bottoming out.

4. Leather craft metal fittings are made of metal. Therefore, the metal base is also made of metal for durability. The entire surface is plated to prevent rusting.

5. The imprint of "MADE IN JAPAN" is on the surface.
The Anvil are made of metal to prevent rusting.

Removal Rod
1. Dimensions are compatible with all metal fittings. Since the tip has a sharp angle like a blade, it is protected by resin before shipment.

2. The entire bar is made of tool steel and is quenched. The hardening process increases metal hardness and wear resistance, and prevents bending and deformation. 3.

3. The overall length is 110 mm for ease of operation. Gray coating is applied to the entire surface to prevent rusting.

4. Checked non-slip surface is placed on the 60mm width. Therefore, secure work can be performed.

5. OKA Factory and MADE IN JAPAN are imprinted.

*The male part of the Glove Snap Setter cannot be removed.
(Please use nippers or a nibbler to remove it.)
*Use a metal fitting of the size that fits into the hole of the stand.
(Refer to the image for the applicable size. The size is also described in the instruction manual that comes with the product.)
*If the metal fittings are removed during tapping, it will become lighter.
(Excessive tapping while the metal fittings are removed will result in damage to the leather, deformation of the striking tool, and damage to the workbench. Please be careful.)
