【The Relationship Between Hand Press Machines and Hand Press Dies】
The hand press machine has an extremely simple structure.
Lowering the handle lowers the spindle, and the metal fittings are secured by crimping.
Due to its simple structure, it is designed to prevent any misalignment between the spindle and the hole.

When using a setter to secure metal fittings, the cap and post sometimes end up misaligned.
This symptom is particularly common in Rivets.
People tend to think, "It's because the Setter hits diagonally," but the real reason is different.
This is a symptom caused by not securing the top and bottom of the metal fittings.
When securing metal fittings, do you verify that the post length (within the compatible range) matches the leather thickness?
Most people probably don't care about the length of Post (the fit range), do they?
When using a setter to hammer in metal fittings, it is crucial that the leather thickness and post length (compatibility range) match.
Because the legs of the metal fittings, which haven't completely collapsed, cannot withstand the pressure from above and end up escaping in the direction where force is easiest to dissipate.
The reason metal fittings move up and down and side to side before stopping lies there.

To prevent this, the use of a hand press machine is essential.
A hand press machine does not experience issues like those with a setter, where the metal fittings move up and down or side to side.
This is because each dedicated die for the metal fittings can crimp the legs of the metal fittings firmly in place without allowing them to shift forward, backward, left, or right.


【About M-type and Two-step】
The 'M-Type' has a depth of 140mm. Its large base allows for stable installation of metal fittings without needing to secure it to a workbench.
The ‘Two-step’ has a depth of 150mm. It specializes in attaching metal fittings to pouch-shaped materials. The base is small, so securing it to your desk with screws allows for stable operation.
The main spindle stroke is approximately 25mm for both.
The weight is 5.3 kg for the M-type and 5.9 kg for the Two-step.
Generally, the M-type is preferred for its ease of use.
Please use them appropriately depending on the work.


【About Specifications】
The screw thread on the spindle with the upper die is 'W5/16-18'. The lower hole diameter with the lower die is '19mm'.
Please use hand press dies that meet the specifications.


【About Hand press dies】
Our hand press dies are manufactured as genuine products for metal fittings manufacturers.
Frankly, I don't know whether metal fittings purchased online from another company will fit our hand press dies.
That's because each metal fitting manufacturer uses different molds.
Even when the outer diameter size of metal fittings is the same, their shape differs depending on the manufacturer.
This may also cause deformation of the metal fittings, so be sure to select hand press dies compatible with the metal fittings.
